Great ideas are meant to be shared. You may find thoughts in these blogs that you want to include as part of paper that you are writing for school or a journal article.
You will notice that there is a copyright statement on each Emerging RN Leader blog post. Please feel free to use and share the ideas in these blogs but be sure to cite them. I have included below some examples of how to cite a blog using APA format, the Harvard referencing system and the AMA format if you are writing papers. You may also want to check with your professors to make sure that they are okay with students citing blogs in class papers. Some will be and others may require that your references be peer-reviewed work. Below are three common types of referencing formats used in health care education programs.
APA (American Psychological Association Manual of Style 6th Edition) Format

And if you are a blogger, you may want to cite an idea expressed in one of the www.emergingrnleader.com postings on your own blog. You can do this without asking permission but please link it back to the posting on this site.
